Purple Kohlrabi

Botanical name: Brassica Oleracea (Gongylodes group)

A small, dark seed which grows into an attractive purple and green sprout which will add a splash of colour to salads and garnishes. Also good to use as a Microgreen.

Nutritional Value: Low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol, as well as good source of Thiamin, Folate, Magnesium and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Dietary Fibre, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Potassium, Copper and Manganese. However a large portion of the calories in this food come from sugars.

Germination: 1-3 days depending on growing conditions.
