Red Clover
Botanical name: Trifolium Pratense
Red Clover is a small, oval seed, varying in colour from cream to brown. Red Clover has a similar taste to Alfalfa, being mild and green. It is very nutritious, and considered especially beneficial for women, particularly during menopause, as it contains Isoflavones which are reported to act similarly to Estrogens.
Nutritional Value: This food is low in Saturated Fat and Sodium, and very low in Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Protein, Vitamin A, Niacin and Calcium, and a very good source of Dietary Fibre, Vitamin C, Vitamin K< Thiamin, Riboflavin, Folate, Pantothenic Acid, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Zinc, Copper and Manganese.
Germination: 1-3 days depending on the growing conditions.
