Botanical name: Pisum Sativim
Maple Peas, also known as Carlin Peas, are round, brown dappled seeds. AS they can be grown in the dark or light they are considered one of the more unusual sprouting seeds. When grown completely in the dark, the sprouts have the look and taste of thin yellow asparagus.
Nutritional Value: Very low in Saturated Fats, Cholesterol and Sodium, they are a good soure of Protein, Vitamin A, Riboflavin, Niacin,Vitamin B6, Folate, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Copper and a very good source of Dietary Fibre, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Thiamin and Manganese.
Germination: 3-6 days depending on growing conditions.
